  • Marie Bowman, Principal Interior Designer + CEO

    Marie holds a BFA in Interior Design from Ringling College of Art and Design and considers herself a perpetual student of design and the ever-changing industry. She is a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) with a specialty in Interior Design and Construction which can bring sustainable practices and solutions to any type of project.

    As a true design enthusiast, Marie enjoys the unique challenges presented with each client & project. Marie works alongside clients or the team to define dreams & visions and ultimately bring projects to a successful completion. Special consideration is given to function, comfort & aesthetics in every project.

    Marie’s true passion is to create beautiful interiors to live, work & play in. Her goal is to use her talents to help maximize a client’s investment, health, productivity and enjoyment in life.

    Marie is certified by the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and is registered with The Florida State Board of Architecture and Interior Design as a Licensed Interior Design Professional. Marie is also a professional member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

  • Amanda Massengale, Interior Designer

    Amanda Massengale is our Designer and Project Manager at MBID with an eye for innovative and unique design solutions. Amanda attended the CIDA accredited Interior Design program at The University of Southern Mississippi where in 2019 she received her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. During her time at Southern Miss she actively expanded her knowledge of the industry through her involvement. Amanda was the Secretary of Southern Miss’ chapter of American Society for Interior Designers and an active member of US Green Building Council and Southern Miss Student Constructors Organization.

    Amanda joined MBID in 2020 and brought her passion for Interior Design with her. Though she has a personal taste for modern, minimalist interiors – she enjoys the challenge of seeing a clients vision through the lens of a designer. From start to finish she focuses on creating a home or space that is reflective of the clients needs and passions through mindful space planning, specification, and selections.

    When Amanda is not in the office, she enjoys exploring new hotspots in Sarasota and Tampa or enjoying a good glass of wine with her puppy, and our office mascot, Daxton Brees. On the weekends you can find Amanda on the beach in Longboat Key or on a flight to a explore a new city with friends. She has an adventurous personality and jumps at any opportunity the world throws her way.

  • Tracey Lewis, Architectural Designer

    Tracy Lewis, graduated suma cum laude with a Bachelor of Interior Design from Boston House College, Cape Town, South Africa. Tracy brings a vast array of valuable experience from her career in design over the last three decades, including eleven years working abroad. Her work reflects her diverse international design aesthetic fused with local inspiration. Tracy’s extensive travels and unique exposure to a multitude of cultures and styles have helped shape her timeless approach to design, embracing the client’s vision where form and function unite in a seamless balance.

    Tracy joined the MBID team in 2022 where her uncompromising passion is evident in her detail oriented and creative approach to all projects large or small from initial concept through design development and construction documentation. Tracy derives great satisfaction from working closely with the client to interpret and transform their vision, needs and wish lists into reality. She thrives on finding innovative solutions to design and floor layouts merging both aesthetics with purpose so that clients are able to envision and realize their dreams. She has gained valuable experience in numerous areas of design including hospitality, commercial, health care, municipal and luxury high-end residential design.

    When Tracy is not supporting her design calling, she can be found walking the beautiful beaches of Sarasota with her family and dogs, enjoying the local restaurants and markets. In her spare time, she enjoys painting and dabbling in photography, taking great pleasure in having auctioned some of her works for charity. She also loves exploring whilst on unique excursions which serve to motivate and develop her design inspiration.
